WONDER WOMAN - SERIES IV
(2011)
In 2011, as part of it's company-wide "New 52" initiative, DC Comics relaunched 52 of its titles with a new first issue. This would be the fourth of the Wonder Woman series with an all-new creative team and another slightly-modified costume. The new costume, designed by Jim Lee, originally had pants, but after more public outcry, DC changed its mind and returned the star-spangled shorts the character had worn for 70 years. Still, many new elements of the costume remained, including a controversial choker, a less-controversial armband, and a color-change for the boots, from blue to red.
In the links below, you'll find the covers of each issue of Series IV. Clicking on the covers, or the issue title beneath them, will take you to an individual page for that issue which includes creator credits, solicitation text, sales figures for the issue, and other helpful information, as well as an image gallery that may include pre-logo cover artwork, original cover art, page previews, original art pages, design sketches, alternate art, and more!
As this exhibit expands, we'll have interviews with the book's creators, as well as character indexing and more.
When available, we have handy links to purchase the books in trade or hardcover format!
(and your purchases help keep the Museum running!)
Note: This page is being updated semi-regularly, so if a link doesn't work, check back later or email the webmaster!
